[translator/proofreader/else...] Mewtheed

Hi ! My name's Mewtheed, but you can call me Mew !
I'd like to apply as a translator for eden-nya. I'm French but i have a good experience (i think) in English. Actually, i've been living in a English speaking world for like half of my life, i'm not saying i live in a English-speaking country but, between the American movies, video game/Internet communities, i think it's pretty safe to say that, at least, i know the basics of this language. ^^

Now you might want to know my motivations, it's very simple. I'm a big Dreamland fan, i know this "manfra" since my 1st year in high school -5 years ago- and loved it since first sight. And during all this time, i've been thinking "it would be great to make it known transatlantic (America obviously)" and today by randomly looking at the last chapters updates of mangafox, i see Dreamland ! I thought "no it can't be..." well yes it is !

Sorry, but i'm pretty excited right at the moment. 8D Fact is, i'd really like to contribute to your work.
Oh, and it looks like you already have a good number of translator. So if you don't need any others, not a big deal, i can be whatever you want. i know how to use Photoshop if it can help.

First of all, it's a pretty good thing you're actually a fan of dreamland.
Concerning the recruitement. The first thing I'd like to be sure is if you'll be present or not?
I mea, we got a lot of new translators who haven't even given a sign of life since then.
We're actually planing on translating Dreamland releasing one chapter per week. So it might take a part of your free time.

Personnaly, I wouldn't be against one more translator or proofreader, and I like your description.

From your post, I can tell that your english appears pretty good to me but I'm not an expert so AutumnSkies will give you a better judgement and maybe a test.

So let's wait for his post.

T : - I won't wash my cheek again(/anymore)!
Sv : - Stop acting like that! - You're together(/a couple) now, right? it's your girlfriend, she kissed your cheek, it's almost not normal! - What a weird couple!
T : - What? What are you...? What do you mean ?
Sb : - No hand holding, No French kissing... You're really not a very demonstrative couple.
T : - The advice of a dude doing push-ups in my bedroom...
Sv : - Fuck you Terrence !

i hope it's clear, not pretty sure about the first 2 dialogs so i put alternatives here and there.

En général pour la traduction il ne faut pas laisser place au doute, tu es obligé de faire le choix de l'expression que tu emploies (et oui...). La motivation m'a l'air à priori présente, à voir aussi.

Sinon la traduction comprend quelques fautes mais on comprend le sens... mais c'est bien parce que j'ai la version française pour comparer (et que je parle français surtout).

Enfin bon, je laisse Deman décider à ce niveau là, je retourne à mon oral (partiels et tout) !

Comme Atumn, je trouve ca correct, un peu formel parfois mais c'est du detail.
Mais comme Autum est pas mal occupe en ce moment, tu es plus que bienvenue. Je pense que si je passe derriere tes traductions en editant, ca donnera quelque chose de bien bon. Mais c'est deja tres bien

Etant membre, tu as maintenant acces a une partie "team" sur l'index des forums. Tout edt explique dedant.
Je prefere cette version de traduction. Moins formel.
Pour aller encore plus loin, dans la bulle de Sabba j'aurai mis (you really ain't a demonstrative couple)
Par contre, pas besoin de remplir les bulles, je m'en charge, et j'aime ca. ^^
